What is Help Me Grow?
Ø
Help Me Grow (HMG) is a home-based,
child development program.
Who is eligible?
Ø
Residents of
Jefferson
County
who are:
§
Pregnant women; and/or
§
Children ages 0 to 3 years old; and
§
Who meet eligibility guidelines.
How do you get services?
Ø
Call the Help Me Grow office and we
will assess your need and assign a service
coordinator to your family.
Benefits of being enrolled in the HMG program.
Ø
Every child receives a developmental
evaluation, free of charge.
Ø
We visit in your home, so you do not
need to find transportation for our services.
Ø
We provide child development
information on every home visit to help you
enhance your child’s learning and developmental
progress.
Ø
We can make referrals to
specialists, therapists, and community agencies if
needed.
Ø
You will have your own service
coordinator for your family’s needs.
Ø
We provide family support and
opportunities for families to interact and network
with each other.
HMG also provides:
Ø
Early intervention services in your
home, by an Early Intervention Specialist from the
Jefferson County Department of Developmental
Disabilities.
